So here we go again!  Happy FRIGID days?  If the school is closed, the aquatic center is too and that means we have to cancel practice.

Please see the meet signup pages for tentative meet entries.  If your athlete has attained an A time this season, they can only swim in the A meet.  If there are not enough kids to fill the 2 relays at the A meet, we will ask some B meet kids to swim up into the A meet.  Those kids would still swim their individual races in the B meet.  We will make changes depending upon people's availability.  It is also possible some kids will be asked to swim 2 relays in order to help make sure as many kids as possible get to swim relays.  You are only allowed to swim 3 events.  If you are listed in more than 3, you will be scratched from extra events as the meets progress.  More to come later.  If you have questions or problems with the meet entries, please text me.  My entry deadline has been pushed back due to weather, so we should have some time to discuss the entries at Thursday's practice.

Fingers crossed, hope we get in the pool on Thursday.

Due to inclement weather, our school is closed, and any day our school is closed for bad weather, we have no practice.  Today's Practice is cancelled. Bad timing, but nobody ever accused Mother Nature of favorable timing.  The meet is still scheduled as normal.  As always, watch for Remind for last minute updates.

Some information for us all:

We have practices tonight and Friday.  NO PRACTICE Thursday.  Please review our calendar on a regular basis, changes do occur and they will end up on the home page of this website first.

Friday is the last chance to tell me if you cannot attend the B meet.  I must turn in my entries after our meet Saturday, and all athletes that have not attained an A meet qualifying time at that time will swim their individual events in the B meet.

Saturday is our home meet against West Ottawa.  Pool doors and locker room will be open at 7:30.  Please sign in in the foyer.  Warm up begins at 8, events at 9.  If weather becomes an issue, expect updates through our Remind Text class (sign up info on our Updates page).  Please use the Signup Genius to help out.  Also look for the meet lineup on the meet signups page.

Hello GHSC!

Our dual meet against Hamilton is all set for Tomorrow, Saturday the 19th.  The entry report is posted on the meet signups page.  Please review and let me know if I have made a mistake in attendance.  Lots of kids swimming new and challenging events... that's what it is all about!

Please pay close attention to the weather.  Looks like it shouldn't be too bad.   If our school district closes, then we are cancelled.  Our district usually knows and posts before 7 am.  I will send out a text via Remind immediately if they close.  No news is good news, if I don't post to Remind, we are on.

Also please remember, tonight is the last night to let me know if you are unable to attend our home meet next Saturday.  Do so by RSVP-ing from the meet signup page for West Ottawa meet.

Hi GHSC,

Today is the last chance to let me know you will not be at next Saturday's meet in Hamiliton.  Anyone that has not competed in a meet yet and misses this meet will be ineligible for our championship meet. 

I will have the line up completed by Monday.  Please see the attached best times reports.  They are not perfect and I am asking you to review your athlete(s) and help me correct any errors.  There are times I get spits from meets that are erroneous and don't catch the error.  Also, I have a difficult time keeping track of athletes that participate on other teams, so if you see errors please send me back and email and I will update my information.
