A and B Championship Meets

Parents, 

Below you will find the A and B Championship Meet Swimmer Posting.  To participate in the championship meet swimmers must have competed in at least one swim meet.  It does not matter if it was a dual or invitational.  The A Championship meet does require at least one qualifying time in one of the events. If your swimmer has a qualifying time they can swim in the A Meet only.  There are a few swimmers that are very close to making a cut time this weekend, we will let you know if you swimmer moves to the A Meet after Saturday.  
There is a B Meet packet posted under the "Meet" tab, B MEET.  Our entries need to be completed no later than 8:00pm Monday, Jan 31.  Please RSVP your swimmer for that A Meet asap!

Here is  a quick rundown of this upcoming week.

Monday, Jan 24- 6:30-8:30pm Group practice times
Tuesday, Jan 25 NO PRACTICE, Home Boys Swim Meet
Wednesday, Jan 26- 6:30-8:30pm Group practice times  MEET RESPONSE DUE!  Please respond under the meet tab
Thursday, Jan 27- 6:30-8:30pm Group practice times
Friday, Jan 28- 6:30-8:30pm Group practice times 

West Ottawa/GHSC Meet results have been posted.  Go to the "Meet TAB", click on the meet.
We will be posting very soon which meet your swimmer(s) will be swimming in for the Championship "A" or "B".

Saturday, Jan 22, GHSC swims West Ottawa at there pool.  
Location information is under the "MEET" tab.
The meet entry file has been sent.
Meet entry spreadsheet is below if you would like to see what your swimmer is competing in on Saturday.

Warmups begin at 8:00am
Meet start is 9:00am

If you have questions regarding the meet please email or speak with Megan at practice this evening.

Tonight at practice the swimmers will receive their tee shirts.  Please, put your swimmers name on the tag of the shirt so if it gets left behind we can find the owner of the shirt. 

One last item, please take the time today, to respond as to whether your swimmer will be swimming in the meet next week at Hamilton.  Our meet entries are due earlier than the meet!  Usually they are due on Thursday evening prior to the dual meet.  Invitational meets are due much earlier in the week.  So when a response comes in on Friday morning it is a scramble to make sure your swimmer gets entered into the meet.  Thank you for your help with this!

Great Meet!

Thank you all of the great meet!  Swimmers had some great swims!  Parents, THANK YOU for your help with the meet!
This could not have happened without your support!
Meet Results have been posted under the "Meets" tab. 

Upcoming week- Jan 17th
Practices will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.  There is a HOME High School meet on Thursday, Jan 20.
Remember the practice times have switched back to 6:30pm as the Boys Middle School Swim Team begins practice on Tuesday.  Practice times are on the calendar.
Megan will be back on Friday, as her family has been sick.

If you have not responded to the RSVP for our next meet on Saturday, Jan 22 at West Ottawa, please do so.  Our entries are due on Thursday evening.  It does take some time to put our line up together.  The RSVP is under the "MEETS" tab, Jan 22 meet.  Regardless of you attending please respond with a definite yes or no.

Looking ahead to this week Jan 9th.  Hoping for a better week with the weather!  And we have a HOME Swim Meet!  I am looking forward to watch our swimmers compete!

Monday, Jan 10th-        6-8:30pm Practice groups
Tuesday, Jan 11th-          6-8:30pm Practice groups
Wednesday, Jan 12th-  6-8:30pm practice groups
Thursday, Jan 13th         6-8:30pm practice groups
Friday, Jan 14th               6-8:30pm practice groups
Saturday, Jan 15th         Home Tri Meet- 3 teams- GHSC vs Ludington vs Manistee
                                           Swimmer check in 8:00-8:30am
                                           Warm ups 8:30-9:30am
                                           Meet Start 9:30am
Volunteers are needed to help with checkin swimmer, equipment set up and take down and we are needing timers.  Please take a look at the sign up genius link below " Volunteer sugn up"  to fill the volunteer positions.  Your help is greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

One last item for this week, please be sure you respond with the a YES or NO to attending this weeks meet.  This is found on the "Meets" page under the Jan 15 Tri Meet tab.
