REMINDERS: No Practice- Thursday, May 27 Grand Haven Graduation Ceremony
Friday, May 28-Monday, May 31 Holiday weekend

Next week:
Monday, May 31 - 13 and over Covid-19 Antigen testing from 6-7pm. Testing is completed in the Aux. Gym.
This order is expiring, so this will be the last test our 13 and over swimmers will need to be a part of.
Tuesday, June 1-Friday, June 4 Practice available each evening!

First Night Evaluation Placement

It is my hope that your swimmer had a great time in the pool tonight! It was fun to watch your swimmers come in for practice tonight! This is good for my soul!
Those swimmers that attended practice tonight will find their placement below. If your swimmer did not swim tonight we will evaluate them Tuesday. We have added a 4th group (Snappers). I will update the calendar to reflect that tomorrow.
Reminder: 13 and over swimmers must have a weekly antigen test. If they did not get tested this week they can not come to practice this week. If your swimmer has had a positive Covid test in the last 90 days or has been vaccinated please send me a copy of that to have on file.
Monday, May 31 Covid antigen testing is scheduled from 6:00-7:00pm. This is a time change. This testing order is set to expire next week, I will keep you posted on this.
Parents-PLEASE make sure you have read the COVID Policy.

Parent Meeting Questions Regarding Antigen Testing

Thank you to those that attended the parents meeting! It was a great turnout with many old and new faces in attendance.
There were a few questions regarding Antigen testing for those 13 and over. Here are the answers to those questions.

Antigen Testing for Sunday, May 23rd is scheduled from 5:00-6:30pm. Please arrive no later than 6:15pm. If your swimmer is 13 and over and intends on swimming the week of May 24-26, they must be tested. If they can not make this scheduled time, Walgreens does do antigen testing, email the results to Joanne Dilley, dilleyj@ghaps.org.

If your swimmer has tested positive in the past 30-90 days, they do not need to be tested, but we do need to have a copy of the positive result. The copy of the test result can be emailed to Joanne Dilley, dilleyj@ghaps.org.

If your swimmer is fully vaccinated, there is no need to have the antigen test. Joanne will need to have a copy of your swimmers vaccination card.

The antigen testing order for those 13 and over has a expiration date of May 31. I will keep you posted on this.

We look forward to seeing all of our swimmers Monday, May 24th.

GHSC Summer 2021 Update

Parents and Swimmers,

The website continues to have changes posted as we update the summer season information. Please check them out!
Updates will continue as we receive information.

A few highlights of the updates...
Parent Meeting- Wednesday, May 19th at 5:30pm @ GH Aquatics Center. We will be meeting in the east spectator area.
We ask that 1 parent attend this meeting, we are under capacity restrictions, so swimmers are asked not to attend.
COVID-19 Policies-PLEASE read the policies! Swimmers will have temp checks/health screening daily as they arrive at the pool. Swimmers are asked to come dressed in pool attire. Those swimmers 13 and over are required to have a COVID antigen test weekly. There are forms that will need to be completed and brought to the testing for the first test.
Testing dates are on the calendar, Sunday's at 4:00pm, with the exception of Memorial Day weekend, testing will be completed Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day) at 7:00pm.
Team suits- We are not requiring a team suit this year.
Personal equipment Required- We are asking that your swimmer has their own swim gear this year.
10 and under- suit, towel, cap and goggles, kickboard, fins and mesh bag to keep gear together.
11 and over- suit, towel, cap and goggles, kickboard, fins, pull buoy, hand paddles and mesh bag to keep gear together.

We hope to see you at the parent meeting, Wednesday, May 19 @ 5:30pm.

Swimmers and Parents,

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! We are excited to announce the Summer Swim Club Season will begin, Monday, May 24, 2021!
The WMSL (West Michigan Swim League) coaches met on Monday, May 3, 2021 to work out the details and guidelines.
Here is what we would like to share along at this time!

Swim Club Practices Monday-Friday, May 24- June 11th-- Tentative Practice time 6:00-8:30pm or 7:00-8:30pm (will depend on our High School Polo advancement in post season play). Please watch the calendar for finalized practice times.
Monday-Friday, June 14-July 15th, practices will be 8:00-11:15am. Meets will be held on Thursday mornings.

Thursday, June 24th Jenison @ Grand Haven HOME 8:00am warm up/9:00am meet start

We will be working out our final details of the season this week and will update all information very soon!
